I took an extended vacation in Murrary Utah at their popular vacation resort called “Intermountain Medical Center.” I must have had a spot in their luxury suite because they sure charge a lot. This is from Charles Lang. He has had quite an ordeal!
“Thought I would let you know that I got home from Las Vegas last weekend after being in the Hospital and a Rehab center for the past five months. I got a massive infection in my right knee and it had to be completely removed and placed on anti-biotic. The infection was brought under control, and a new knee was put in the end of March. I was then sent back to the rehab center to get some Physical Therapy and try and get my strength back. All in all I spent 150 days flat on my back except for a couple of hours a day the last month I was there.
Sure is nice to be home, was told by my surgeon that it is going to take me a few months to get my strength back.”

May 8, 2013: We have couple of our class members who have received mission calls.
Marvin Gubler and his wife, Deanne, are going to serve in the Germany, Frankfurt mission. This is where Marvin served as a youth. In fact, he is acquainted with his mission president because the mission president was a youth in Germany when Marvin was there and he knew him. They will enter the MTC on May 27, 2013.
Lail Rae Wilkinson Michie and her husband have received a mission call to serve in the Texas, Lubbock mission and will enter the MTC on August 12, 2013.
May 5, 2013: Our next class reunion will be held on October 25 & 26, 2013 in St. George. It will be at the same time as the Dixie State University homecoming activities. More details will be coming as they are finalized.

April 29, 2012: On April 25, Michael Clair Beacham passed away. Some of you may remember that Mike was in our class through Woodward. When we were Seniors he was listed as a Junior and so didn’t graduate with us but we thought you would like to know that he had passed away. A private family celebration was held today at his nephew Kade (Talou) Beacham’s home in Diamond Valley. We express our sympathies to Mike’s family. January 13, 2012: In the Deseret News today, it was announced that Elder Steven E. Snow, of the Seventy, was called as the new Church Historian and Recorder. He will be sustained in October General Conference where he will be released from his currect position in the Presidency of the Seventy. Congratulations to Steve and Phyllis on this new assignment.

It said that he had taught in the elementary schools for 38 years. Some of you may have had him as a teacher. We express our sincere sympathies to LeRoy and his family.

February 17, 2009: We received notice that Shirley Ann Orton Kohler’s son passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 8, 2009. You can read his obituary by going to the “Class Members” tab and then find “Kohler, Shirley Ann” and then click on “Kohler”.
December 26, 2008: We have received an e-mail from Doug Bringhurst (all of you who have sent me an e-mail address should have received it also) about the account that we discussed at our reunion about “future” flowers for when someone passes away in our class. He has that account all set up and we currently have $550 that has been donated. We encourage anyone who would like to donate to that account to send their checks made out to “Class of 1968/Mem fund” and send to the following address: The Village Bank Attention: Doug Bringhurst 294 E. Tabernacle St. George, Utah 84770. What a wonderful thing that is for Doug to do for our class.
December 8, 2008: We have loaded on a lot more pictures of our 40th reunion thanks to Lynda Jones Jensen. Just go to “Past Reunions” and then click on “40 years” and then scroll down till you see Lynda’s name. Thanks to Lynda for taking the time to send them.
December 2, 2008: There is a fun picture to look at under the “1968” tab. Have fun trying to figure out who the people are in the tab. Thanks to Kerry Bate for sending the picture.
October 30, 2008: We have added a new tab to the home page. It is “1968.” It will have some trivia about the class of 1968 and also will include some information about the year of 1968 that you may have forgotten.
October 26, 2008: We have received Sid’s obituary now and so you can read it by going to Sid’s name on the “class members” tab or going to the “In Memoriam” tab and clicking on the link there. We are still missing Cheryl’s obituary and so if you have a copy of her obituary or know of any details about her death (such as when, where, etc.) please let Paul Thomas know so we can update the website.
October 21, 2008: We have now received the obituaries for Jim Deal, Shirlee Esplin, Ruby Nelson Gates, Reid Roundy, and Scott Wells. You can read them by going to the “In Memoriam” tab. We have also received pictures from our 40 year reunion. Just click on the “reunion” tab and then on the “40 year” tab. Thanks to June Abraham Judy and Diana Harrison Rogers for these groups of pictures.
