This is John’s mother’s obituary.

Loraine Stock Snow Burns, born July 15, 1921 in St. George Utah, died January 22, 2014 in St George.  Loraine lived in St. George for most of her life. She lived with Dr. Reichmann from the time she was 8 until she was 16 years old, when she moved to Los Angeles.  Her first job in Los Angeles was for National Biscuit Company, putting cookies into boxes.  Then she got the ultimate job at Wasco’s Malt Shop on Hollywood Boulevard.

While she was living in Los Angeles, Loraine married Wayne Snow, later divorced.  Loraine later married Fred Burns, who preceded her in death.  Loraine and Fred lived happily in Salt Lake City, Santa Clara, Bloomington Hills, and St. George.

Loraine owned and ran Dixie Upholstery for thirty years.  She enjoyed making afghans.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.  Loraine’s family would like to thank her friends, especially Nancy, for their love and support over the years.

Loraine is survived by her two children, Linda Lewis and John Snow (Kristine), six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff, St George, UT. There will be a viewing on one hour prior to services at the mortuary. Interment will take place in the St. George City Cemetery.
